About this course
Most young people can feel that something online is wrong long before they can name it. This free course gives them the vocabulary. Each lesson takes one tactic, impersonation, cyberstalking, flaming, outing, trickery, harassment, trolling, catfishing, denigration and exclusion, explains how it works, shows how it typically appears in Caribbean school and community group chats, and gives a specific response. Short, blunt and built for a form period or a family evening.
What you'll be able to do
- Correctly name all ten recognised forms of cyberbullying
- Tell trolling apart from harassment, and outing apart from trickery
- Recognise fraping, fake profiles and catfish accounts
- Understand how exclusion works as bullying even when nothing is said
- Choose the right response for each tactic
