Report a Cyber Crime

Victim of cyberbullying, harassment, fraud or image abuse? Act quickly and keep a clear record.

Step 1

Preserve the evidence

Take screenshots of messages, posts, profiles and URLs. Do not delete conversations, record dates, times and usernames involved.

Step 2

Do not engage further

Avoid responding to threats or harassment. Block the offending account where possible and keep the record of prior interactions.

Step 3

Report to the platform

Use the in-app reporting tools on the relevant social media platform to report abuse, impersonation or harmful content.

Step 4

Contact the authorities

Report serious matters to the TTPS Cyber Crime Unit, and to your school administration where a student is involved.
