Who we serve

Tailoring digital safety education to fit any audience.

The same threat looks different to a fourteen year old, a worried parent, a form teacher and a finance team. We rewrite every session for the people in front of us, then stay until the questions stop.

Real people, real classrooms

Since 2010, walking into schools and staying until the questions stop.

“The students went quiet, and then they wouldn’t stop asking questions. It’s the only session all year they still talk about.”

Daren Dhoray

Digital Anthropologist · Cyber Safety Evangelist · Founder, CyberSafeTT

The person behind the work

He knew the world before the internet, and never stopped explaining it since.

CyberSafeTT is the brainchild of Daren Dhoray, a Digital Anthropologist. Since September 2010 he has stood in front of students, parents and staff rooms, first in his hometown of south Trinidad, then nationwide and across the region, talking plainly about cyberbullying, internet addiction and social media etiquette, and staying until the questions stop.

The AI shift

AI made scams fluent.

The typos are gone. The accents are perfect. A cloned voice can call your grandmother, and a deepfake can sit in your child's group chat. The old advice, “look for bad spelling”, no longer protects anyone.

Our curriculum is rebuilt for that reality: verification habits, provenance checks and calm response plans, taught in plain language to students, parents, teachers and teams.

Deepfakes

Cloned voices and faces used for extortion and fraud.

Fluent phishing

AI-written messages that mirror your bank word for word.

Data leakage

Students and staff pasting private data into chatbots.

Automated targeting

Attacks personalised at scale, cheaply, in seconds.

What learners say

Students, parents, schools and teams across the Caribbean.

I used to accept every follow request. After the workshop I locked down my accounts in one evening and finally understood why it mattered.

The team spoke to 400 of our students without a single dull minute. Teachers left with a plan, not just a presentation.

Dexter Charles

Dexter Charles

The online safety course gave me the words to talk to my son about sextortion. Calm, clear and made for Caribbean families.

Marcia Joseph

Marcia Joseph

Parent, Chaguanas

Our staff phishing click rate dropped sharply within a month. The scenarios used real local scams, so it landed instantly.

Short lessons I could finish between classes. The checklist alone saved me from a fake scholarship payment link.

Shivani Persad

FAQ

Everything you need to know about CyberSafeTT, our programs, and the CyberSafeTT Academy.

CyberSafeTT is the brainchild of Daren Dhoray, a Digital Anthropologist who began delivering cyber safety sessions in south Trinidad in September 2010. From 2012/13 the initiative expanded with colleagues from Campus IT Services at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, into a national and regional digital-safety programme.

Primary and secondary students, college and university students, parents, teachers and guidance staff, and workplace teams. Every session is written for the age group and sector in the room.

Yes. The Academy currently runs 29 self-paced courses across beginner to advanced paths, each ending in a certificate of completion. 9 of them are completely free.

We deliver school presentations, teacher training, parent awareness sessions, community outreach and corporate cyber-awareness sessions, in person island-wide across Trinidad & Tobago, or online.

Send a booking request with your audience, preferred dates and the topics that concern you most. We reply within two working days and shape the session around your group.

As a voluntary initiative we keep awareness sessions for schools and all of our online guides free wherever we can. Academy courses and organisational training carry a fee that sustains the free work.

Report it. Our Report a Cyber Crime page lists the Trinidad & Tobago Police Service Cyber Crime Unit and the steps to preserve evidence before you delete anything.
