Cyber Grooming Awareness

About this course

Cyber grooming is the process of befriending a young person online to facilitate sexual contact, exploitation or trafficking. The goal is always the same: win trust, then obtain intimate material, then use that material to threaten and extract more. Perpetrators often pose as children on child friendly platforms and open with harmless questions about age, school, hobbies and family before moving toward sexual conversation. This free course for parents, teachers, guidance officers and older students maps the full grooming sequence, explains why victims blame themselves, and sets out how to intervene, preserve evidence and report in Trinidad and Tobago.
